Community Activities

ALPHA CHARITABLE TRUST

The Trustees shall elect Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer from among the Trustees or from the social workers associated with the activities of the Trust or from the Managing Committee, Advisory Committee or Support Groups that may be appointed and they shall hold the position for a period of two years from the date of appointment or till he/she/she resigns or removed by the trustees in the meeting of the trustees.

It shall be lawful for the trustees at any time or times to appoint Managing Committee, Advisory Committee, Technical Committee, Support Groups and Women’s Groups for the purpose of managing and carrying out the administration and Management of the activities of the Trust of these present including advice and recommendation of the Trust and powers of these presents. Subject to the general control and supervision of the Trustees and the and rules framed in this regard the Committee or Management shall carry out the administration of the affairs and accounts of the Trust hereby created and all ministerial works to be done in pursuance of the provisions of these presents. The trustees shall have the power to make rules and regulations regarding the constitution of the Committee including the term of the membership thereof and the appointment or removal of members or member of the Committee.
The Board of Trustees may, by a majority of vote of trustees present at the meeting except the trustee proposed to be removed, remove any trustee from office, permanent or otherwise, from office after finding the trustee proposed to be removed guilty of serious misconduct in relation to or concerning the estate or affairs of the Trust and after arriving at a definite conclusion that for the reasons to be recorded in writing, the continuance of the trustee proposed to be removed or these presents was desirable keeping the objectives of the Trust in view and other related or connected matters provided however that no conclusion of such guilt shall be arrived at without giving the trustee proposed to be removed a full and fair opportunity of explaining his/her conduct and/or the charges levelled against him/her for his/her removal. The decision of the Board of Trustees in this behalf shall be final and binding and shall not be called in question anywhere.

On a new trustee being appointed and on signifying his/her acceptance in writing to the effect of his/her accepting the appointment, the Trust properly shall automatically vest in him /her along with the other trustees for the time being and he/she will be entitled to carry out all the duties and functions of a trustee without any other deed or writing.

OBJECTIVES

(A)  THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST:


a. To conduct programs for the promotion of human health, education, culture, peace, harmony, brotherhood, general welfare of the people and the advancement of any other object of general public utility not involving carrying out any activity for profit irrespective of caste, creed, religion and political affiliation for that purpose.

b. Establish, provide, endow, maintain, control and manage hospitals, Clinics, health care centers, health awareness centers, training institutes, research centers and similar organizations for enhancing the health of human beings

c. To provide social support, medical and financial relief to the poor, distressed, afflicted mentally, physically or psychologically handicapped persons in India and for these purposes establish and run dispensaries, Clinics, hospitals or other institutions that will help and aid the objectives herein mentioned.

d. To set up Centers for HIV/ AIDS patients with an objective to provide medicines and care, to work in the public to destroy the stigma and to erase the notion that there is something culpable about people acquiring HIV/ AIDS, to educate the people about the dangers..
e. To set up Pain and Palliative Care centers to provide medical care, social support, love and affection to the patients and their families



(B)      OBJECTIVES INCIDENTAL OR ANCILLARY TO THE ATTAINMENT OF THE MAIN OBJECTIVES.

To set up Centers with an objective to strengthen downtrodden women and thereby the families in distress and to help the weak and economically backward and deserving women in their marriage by extending financial assistance to them.

Establish, maintain and manage Cultural Centers to promote art and language and heritage of India, to promote value based work culture, promote ethics, to institute Excellence Awards to those carrying out exemplary work in their respective areas

To set up, maintain and manage Homes for old and elderly people, to take care of their medical, recreational and occupational needs

To establish, maintain and manage Homes for mentally and physically challenged people and to provide education, food, occupation and entertainment to them

To carry out objectives of public utility and security such as upliftment of villages , rural reconstruction, public health and hygiene, community developments, welfare of women and children, promotion of cottage industries, self-employment schemes and to start, establish, conduct, takeover, maintain, manage and help any institution considered necessary to achive these objectives, for eg. Orphanages, old age homes, job oriented educational institutions, career development centre and the like

Establish, provide, endow, maintain, control and manage schools, colleges and other educational institutions and also institutions for the empowerment of women and children and socially and economically weak and backward sections of the society and undertake all acts and deeds necessary for or conducive to the promotion of knowledge and to conduct Nursery, Primary and Secondary Technical schools, colleges and universities for providing the most modern education giving utmost importance to human and moral values.

To establish factories, workshops, service centers, retail/wholesale outlets, call centers, restaurants, hotels, hostels, reading rooms, libraries, conference halls, prayer halls, recording studios, publishing houses, printing presses, residential quarters, to conduct shows or any other commercial activity with an objective to find jobs for the needy as well to generate income to satisfy the financial needs of the activities of the Trust. However, none of these shall be established, managed or run with a profit motive

To help the weak and economically backward but deserving students by extending financial assistance such as interest free loans, scholarships, prizes and grants in cash or in kind to enable them to pursue their studies.

To purchase, acquire on lease or otherwise immovable property and to construct, maintain and manage the same or other movable properties necessary for achieving the objectives of the Trust.

To give donations in cash or kind to other institutions having similar objectives and /or help such institutions in any other manner and to give donation to funds that assist and provide relief to public in general at the time of calamities especially those affected by riots, floods, famines, fires, epidemics, droughts and other such calamities.

To accept donations in cash or kind and to raise Funds by advertisement in publications of the Trust, by arranging charity shows, by accepting fees and subscriptions and other methods.

To aid, assist, manage or take over the Management of any institution or association or other registered or un-registered body having similar objectives enumerated above or allied or complementary to them , should such institutions, associations or registered bodies request for such assistance or aid from the Trust.

To work in co-ordination with any other Trust or institution having similar aims and objectives, aid, assist and undertake any of its activities entrusted or delegated by it for effectively carrying out their objectives or any part or parts of their objectives.
